Window Interlude – caught in the act…

Mirror

mirrors

can be

windows

too

through which we catch ourselves

in the moment of seeing ourselves

in the act of meeting ourselves

catching the moment of

seeing ourselves

caught

in

the

act.

Poem and photo by clinock.

    1. Thank YOU Gary – much to reflect on indeed – I think, yes, we do live in a hall of mirrors – a difficult and complex analogy but true. It is worth the labyrinthine journey…

  1. Oh wow… “catch ourselves in the moment of seeing ourselves in the act of meeting ourselves” perfectly describes seeing my own reflection in a window as sometimes it takes a moment to recognize myself. Cool photo, too.

    1. Thanks Nancy – so great to be blogging with you again, you were one of the first blogs I ever ‘followed’. I hear you – looking at one’s reflection and not recognizing – a surreal and familiar experience for me. I just realized – it’s all about glass…!

  2. Hi John,
this poem is a beautiful reflection. Truth always lies behind that what is shown. A mirror is a liar too you see 🙂

    1. Powerful Koan Terry and at same time a profound existential question – leaves me reflecting – I’ll get back to you. Wondering how others might answer this… ?
