the music may be too loud,
there may be too many smiling teeth,
you may feel an uncontrollable madness in the night.
but do not fear the spinning lights,
the painted faces, the dizzying rides,
the smells and smoke and mirrors.
it’s only El Carnaval come to town
to break open the darkness,
summon the unexpected
and disrupt reality
briefly,
with magic.

This made me smile today. Thanks for the great art. This work made me think of the Spyro Gyra album and song of the same title. Joyful, celebratory expression with a hint of mischief and a dash of mad fun 👍👏😉👏

I had to go immediately to YouTube to listen to SG. It’s been too long. Thanks for the nostalgia and for your lovely comment. And, BTW because I can’t comment on your posts I need you to know here that I still enjoy your photography, music and your heart and brain food so very much…
